When I graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, I knew I wanted to make my home in Alaska. I feel very fortunate to have been practicing here for 20 years. I have always strived to provide the highest quality of dentistry and I will continue to do so for as long as I am practicing.
My career has taken me from serving in the United States Public Health Service to an associate dentist with Dr. Jim Libby which lead me to my current position as owner of Alaska Premier Dental Group and Gentle Care Dental Center where I am dedicated to providing the best clinical and personal standards of care. I am a Qualified Lifetime member of the Crown Council and Smiles for Life, The American Dental Society, and The Alaska Dental Society.
I have a passion for helping those in need by providing dental care to those who wouldn't otherwise have access to it. I have participated in and organized dental mission trips traveling to Fiji, Peru, The Dominican Republic, Kenya, and most recently to Songea, Tanzania.
Closer to home, along with my team at APDG, I have teamed up with Romig Middle School by screening students and providing them with care at no cost.
On the personal level I love being a dad and a husband. I am an avid outdoor enthusiast and I enjoy running, hiking, rafting, camping, fishing, and a healthy diet and daily workouts. I compete in numerous 5k and mountain races and love it when my daughters and wife compete with me. During the long Alaskan winters I spend my free time on the slopes of Mt. Alyeska, snowboarding and skiing with my family and friends. back to top »

I was raised in the small rural community of Brandeville, New Jersey and graduated from Temple University Dental School in May of 1993. The reason I studied to become a dentist is because I love working with my hands and I love people. My goal is to put my patients at ease while providing them with exceptional service.
My professional affiliations include The American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, The Anchorage Dental Society, and The Alaska Dental Society. I have accompanied my colleagues on service trips from Fiji to the Dominican Republic and truly enjoy the satisfaction of providing dental care to those abroad and here at home.
I love living in Alaska and enjoying the outdoors. If I'm not in "the office," you'll probably find me dirt-biking, mountaineering, snow machining, water-skiing, or hunting. back to top »

I graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2004. In 2003, I did an externship for the Indian Health Service in Bethel, AK. From 1992-1994, I lived in Kyushu, Japan where I became proficient in the Japanese language and grew to love both the people and their culture.
I love dentistry and the opportunity it provides to serve in the community on a day to day basis. I also enjoy the close relationship I have with people and the privilege of utilizing my artistic talents to influence positive change in their lives.
In my time away from teeth, gums and smiles, my favorite pastimes are spending time with my wife, 3 sons and my daughter. We love the outdoor activities of Alaska – hunting, fishing, camping and playing in the snow. I also enjoy football, basketball, weight lifting and cheering for the underdogs in the NBA and NFL finals.
As current owner of Alaska Premier Dental Group and Gentle Care Dental Center, I am privileged to work with the top professionals in the dental field and taking care of You – Way Beyond your Smile! back to top »

I graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2008. From 1999-2001 I lived in Kaohsiung, Taiwan where I served a mission and became fluent in speaking Mandarin Chinese. I enjoyed living there very much and learned to embrace and love the people as well as their culture.
I am very passionate about music. I started playing the violin at the age of 3 and have played ever since. I also enjoy any sport and love the outdoors.
My strength in life definitely comes from my wonderful wife and two children. There is nothing I love more than hanging out with my family.
I love dentistry especially for the opportunity it gives me to touch people lives in a totally different way. Seeing people smile is one of my favorite things that can give me a boost in my own life and make my profession worth while. I grew up in Southern California and graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2009. After working in multiple offices in San Diego, I moved to Anchorage to work for one of the finest dental practices, Alaska Premier Dental Group. I was drawn to this dental practice because of a shared philosophy in treating patients as human beings and not just a collection of teeth. I enjoy being a dentist because it provides opportunities to improve my patients' quality of life through treatment, education, and prevention.
Another reason I love being a dentist is because of the opportunity it has given me to travel and participate in outreach all over the world. My longest dental mission trip was volunteering for two months in a dental clinic near Kathmandu, Nepal. I've also participated in volunteer dentistry in Peru and Mexico. My favorite companion in all my adventures is my husband, Kevin. Together we enjoy the outdoors, photography, our Italian Greyhound, and our latest hobby, exploring Alaska. back to top »

My Alaskan roots run deep beginning with my grandparents who came to Alaska during WWII. I was born in Valdez and grew up in Anchorage graduating from West High School where I played soccer and hockey and met my fiancée, Sabrina. I graduated from West Virginia University and University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
I am a sports fanatic and still enjoy playing soccer and hockey. My other interests include snowboarding, running, traveling and spending time with family, friends and our dachshund puppy, Lola, at our cabin.
I am honored to be a part of the Alaska Premier Dental Group and am particularly drawn to their commitment to service. In fact, it was on a medical mission trip with Global Health Outreach in the Dominican Republic that I made my decision to pursue dentistry. It was while on that trip that I became aware of the overwhelming need for dental care in rural communities worldwide and learned how dental health can impact a person's total health and well being. back to top »
