Sedation
We offer three types of dental sedation:
- Nitrous oxide. Popularly known as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is safe and effective. It works quickly and wears off quickly.
- Oral conscious sedation. This involves taking a prescribed sedative before your appointment. It is not so strong that it will make you sleep. It will, however, make you extremely sleepy and relaxed. You need a ride to and from our office.
- IV Sedation. Our strongest option, this sedative is administered intravenously. Most patients remain awake but are extremely groggy. You need a ride to our office and back for this one, too.
